A taste of history
The roots of the Spritz date back to the late 18th century during the Austrian occupation of the Veneto region. Austrian soldiers found the local wines too strong – and began diluting them with soda water. The name “Spritz” comes from the German verb spritzen , which means to squirt or spray.

It wasn't until the 1920s that the Spritz began to transform into the iconic cocktail we know today, when bitters were added to give it flavor and color. Bella Aperitivo Spritz celebrates this tradition – in a modern, non-alcoholic version.
